“I started this brand in 2002 inspired by a $20 necklace and a dream. Every piece is made in Los Angeles — one-of-a-kind, because every woman who wears it is too.”

    ABOUT

    Hi, I’m Robyn.

I’ve been making one-of-a-kind jewelry in Los Angeles for over 20 years — and I want you to know the story behind every piece you wear. It started when I was 12 years old with a $5 box of beads. I always knew I was an artist. I just hadn’t found my medium yet.

I went on to study Film at UC Santa Barbara, where I minored in Art History. After graduation, I spent years working in TV and Film as a celebrity assistant — learning everything I could about storytelling, beauty, and what makes something truly unforgettable.

Then September 11th, 2002 happened. Film and TV Production stopped. I found myself at home, waiting for the phone to ring for a job — and that’s when I saw it. My cousin had bought a necklace made from wire and glass beads, the kind you’d normally put in a vase. He gave it to my aunt, and the moment I saw her wearing it, something clicked. I can do this, and do it better!. That $20 necklace inspired a business.

In 2002, Robyn Rhodes Inc. was born.

I built this brand on one belief: every woman deserves to feel adorned and empowered — whether she’s 22 or 72, heading out on a date or chasing her grandkids at the park. I let the stones speak for themselves and design around them. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, because every woman is.

Then came the part I never could have planned.

In January 2020 — just weeks before the world shut down — I met my husband Rick. My business had been my whole world for nearly 18 years. Then love arrived and changed everything.

What I didn’t know yet was that Rick’s father had been collecting and cutting stones his entire life. For 40+ years he had been gathering extraordinary stones from around the world, fascinated by them since he was a little boy. The moment I discovered his collection, it felt written in the stars. His stones. My designs. A match made in heaven.

Today, every piece made in Los Angeles carries that story with it — from his hands, through mine, to you.

You may have seen us around.

Over the past 20+ years, Robyn Rhodes jewelry has become one of Hollywood’s best-kept secrets — spotted everywhere from primetime television to the pages of the world’s biggest magazines.

But if I’m being honest — none of that is why I do this.

I do this because somewhere out there is a woman who puts on one of my pieces and feels — even just for a moment — like the most beautiful, powerful version of herself. Maybe she’s getting ready for a first date. Maybe she just needs a little reminder of how extraordinary she is on an ordinary Tuesday.

That woman is why I show up every single day.

    She always has been.
